Document Description
The project is a proposed amendment to the City's Zoning Ordinance to accommodate a 45-unit residential project in West Pasadena, according to the West Gateway Specific Plan, from Public/Semi-Public (PS) to Planned Development (PD). Existing on-site development includes eight vacant and deteriorating historic bungalows listed on the National Register of Historic Places, which were once part of the Vista del Arroyo Hotel. The Colorado Street Bridge bisects the site. Grand Vista Partners proposes to: 1) restore and/or reconstruct the existing bungalows according to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation Historic Building; 2) construct about 45,000 square feet of housing in three new buildings; and 3) build three partially subterranean parking garages.
