The San Marcos Unified School District proposes to acquire approximately 20 acres of undeveloped land in order to construct and operate the proposed San Elijo Hills Middle School. The District proposes to construct single-story and two-story facilities including classrooms for up to 1,500 students in grades kindergarten through eight; administration and library buildings; kitchen; outdoor food shelter; a gymnasium; multi-purpose auditorium; parking facilities for visitors and staff; bus-loading/drop-off area; parent loading/drop-off area and athletic play courts including hardscape and turf playfields with field lighting.
