Document Description
The proposed Rancho Penasquitos Pressure Control and Hydroelectric Facility (PCHF) consists of a rectangular reinforced concrete structure, associated valves, piping, generators, electrical switch gear, controls, and instrumentation. The concrete structure would be approximately 110 feet long by 70 feet wide. The PCHF would be partially buried, and the highest above-ground point would be 18 feet. The main facility would house pressure control valves, a hydroelectric generator, isolation valves, electrical switch gear, instrumentation and controls, and associated components. The project would also include two below-grade concrete valves vault structures that would house large isolation valves, one measuring approximately 40 by 40 feet, the second measuring approximately 20 by 20 feet.
