Acquisition of about 53.5 acres for the construction of a high school campus. The District would acquire this acreage from an existing 78 acre parcel, leaving about 24 acres between the school site and East Main Street under its current private ownership. The campus will include the following components: (1) approximate building coverage will be 200,000 square feet in multiple buildings; (2) parking for 500 student cars and 200 staff cars; (3) design enrollment will be 2000 students, with short term, temporary capacity for 2,379 students until a fourth high school is built; (4) the campus will be planned to accommodate a football stadium, sports fields, pool, and a one acre maintenance facility; (5) the campus will take access from Fremont Street, which will be extended south to East Main Street, and East Main Street would be improved to provide turn lanes at the Fremont intersection; and (6) the site will include a storm water detention basin at its north end, which would be designated to work in concert with the existing City basin in the park adjoining the school site.
