Document Description
Action by the Modesto City Council to place on the ballot for the November 2001 election a citywide Measure "M" advisory vote on extension of sewer service to one or more of the following areas within the City's Urban Area General Plan: 1) Roselle/Claribel CPD - 480-acre southwest portion, 2) Johansen CPD 500-acres, (minus the 109-acre high school/park site), 3) Empire North CDP 174-acre (south portion), Kiernan/Carver CPD 570-acre portion and Hetch Hetchy CPD - 480-acre portion, Infill Annexation areas - 2,350-acres. The Council's action includes the consideration of several related policy issues that will not be placed on the ballot including: establish a bi-annual Growth Policy Review Process, require bonded infrastructure financing for new development, require specified levels of multi-family/affordable housing, and amend Measure "M" policy regarding infill annexations.
