The proposed project has the potential to substantially divert or obstruct the natural flow or substantially change the stream bed, channel, or bank of a watercourse (California Fish and Game Code, Section 1603). The project involves water drafting from a Class I watercourse (Mallo Pass Creek), with an existing rocked access road. The proposed project is associated with approved Timber Harvest Plans (THPs) 1-01-051 MEN; 1-99-339 MEN; and 1-99-227 MEN. The proposed project is located approximately one-mile east of Highway 1, along Mallo Pass Creek, Mendocino County, within section 32; township 14N; range 16W, of the Mallo Pass Creek 7.5-minute U.S. Geological Survey quadrangle map. The property owner is Mendocino Redwood Company, LLC (MRC), Fort Bragg, California.
