The Applicant seeks the right to appropriate 1,555 acre feet (af) of water per annum (surface and underflow) from San Emigdio Creek tributary to Buena Vista Lake, Kern County. The proposed project is located south of Highway 166 (Maricopa Highway) approximately 30 miles southwest of Bakersfield (U.S. Geological Survey. 1973. Conner SW, California. 7.5 Minute Topographic Sheet). The water will be diverted annually from January 1 to December 31 for domestic and mining purposes.
