Document Description
The California Department of Transportation is proposing to realign a section of Highway 41 approximately 4 miles east of the intersection of Highways 41 and 46, Post mile 47.5-47.7, in San Luis Obispo County. The northern side of the shoulder at this location is to be filled to the height of the current roadway. To accommodate the new fill, the existing 900-mm culvert conveying an unnamed drainage under the roadway will need to be extended nine meters. The extension will result in the loss of approximately 60 square feet of wetland area. To mitigate this loss, the widened channel upstream from the new culvert inlet will be revegetated with native plant species. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 2001-0247 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1601.
