Document Description
The project involves approximately 43,300 square and 1,120 linear feet of construction on a 174-acre parcel. Areas eroded by the El Nino rains and the areas of the blue-line stream that have been adversely impacted by the imported rocks require reconstruction. Project plans have been prepared to regrade areas in and adjacent to the blue-line stream on the 1st and 8th fairways and the driving range; this project also proposes to divert the incidental water that runs across the driving range into a pipeline that will bypass the current flow line of the stream while leaving a grassed channel to carry stormwater runoff. Portions of the 1st and 8th fairways and the driving range would be regraded to a maximum 4:1 slope with a concrete "V" drain at the flow line to carry the incidental water across the aforementioned portions of the course and reduce the impact that golf carts and ball retrieval machines currently impact on the stream. The water that crosses the golf course in the summer and fall is generated by the irrigation system on the course, and is expected to continue running across the course after implementation of the regrading and "V" drains. Ultimately, the reconstruction project will allow golfers and course maintenance personnel to traverse the stream with less impact to adjacent soil and vegetation.
