Document Description
The thermal energy expansion project will increase the size of the chilled water storage tank from 1 million gallons to 1.5 million gallons. The existing tank is 50 feet tall, this project will raise the tank to 74 feet. This increase will allow for an additional 6,500 tons per hour over the existing chilled water storage capacity. With the addition of Mariposa Hall and other future growth, the existing TES system does not meet campus cooling needs.
