Document Description
The operator proposes to stabilize 80 linear feet of a failing gabion structure along Redwood Creek at 22 Queens Court in Napa. The project consists of dewatering the stream, digging a trench along the base of the wall, and filling the trench and empty gabions with concrete ("shot-crete") and reinforcing steel mesh. The new concrete facing of the gabion wall will only extend up to the top of the second row of baskets and will protrude out into the stream six to twelve inches. The trench to hold the foot of this concrete facing will be at least one foot wide and at least one foot below the base of the bottom row of baskets. The concrete will be pumped to the site and a commercial sealant will be applied. All work will be done by hand. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0246 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
