Document Description
The southern spillage (turnout structure and associated conveyance pipe), a reinforced concrete structure and associated 60-inch, steel conveyance pipe that extends approximately 100 feet east, will be constructed to deliver water to the south zonal mainline component of the Southern Zones Dust Control Project, part of the Owens Lake Dust Mitigation Program (EIR certified in 1997). The turnout structure at the aqueduct will be up to 45 feet long, 30 feet wide, and up to 20 feet deep. From the associated conveyance pipe, the south zonal mainline will consist of a 60-inch, steel pipeline from the spillgate structure to the Southern Zones Dust Control Project boundary on the Owens Dry Lake playa.
