Document Description
Rehabilitate the tile deck area adjacent to the "David" fountain, located between "C" Terrace and "C" House at Hearst San Simeon State Historic Monument. Remove historic and non-historic tile, stabilize concrete subdeck, and retile area in the original herringbone pattern, with in-kind paver tiles that match original tiles in color and surface texture. A control joint will be added to minimize possibility of cracks due to movement of subdeck; joint will be incorporated into the design and will not alter original pattern. All work will be conducted in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
