Document Description
Project will refinish existing teakwood band around exterior of Casa Grande at Hearst San Simeon State Historic Monument. Solid body stain and semi-transparent oil stains will be applied to protect teakwood from moisture and ultra violet light. Finished teakwood will differ slightly from historic appearance, but application is necessary to preserve resource. Oil stain is reversible and will cause no permanent alteration to the historic fabric. All work will be done in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
