Document Description
Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) proposes to install leach fields adjacent to existing vehicle wash racks at the Gene and Iron Mountain Pumping Plants. The leach fields have a design capacity of 500 gallons per day, and water would flow from the wash racks into an existing oil/water separator and then into the leach fields. There are no wells in the vicinity of either of the leach field sites. All of this work will occur on previously disturbed areas within the boundaries of existing Metropolitan facilities at the Gene and Iron Mountain Pumping Plants on the Colorado River Aqueduct.
