Document Description
Project consists of archaeological test excavations at three archaeological sites. Excavations will include 3-foot by 3-foot test units or linear trenches. The units will be dug by hand in stratigraphic levels using current professional standards and techniques. Excavations at the Carrizo site include up to 90 square feet (sq ft) of surface area, excavations at the Palm Springs site include up to 54 sq ft of surface area, and excavations at San Felipe include up to 180 sq ft of surface area. Recovered materials will be documented, analyzed, catalogued, and curated at the laboratory/curation facilities at Anzo-Borrego Desert State Park following current professional guidelines.
