Document Description
Safety-Kleen, Incorporated (SK) has received a variance from a modified manifesting requirement under Section 66263.42(b) of Title 22, California Code of Regulations (22 CCR). This variance allows SK to operate pursuant to the modified manifest procedure specified in Section 66262.42, with the exception that SK may collect eligible waste from generators that generate up to 1,000 kilograms per calendar month of non-Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) hazardous waste. The hazardous waste is solely a non-RCRA hazardous waste or the hazardous waste or its management is exempt from, or is not otherwise regulated pursuant to the RCRA of 1976, as amended; and the hazardous waste, the amount of the hazardous waste, or the hazardous waste management activity or management unit is insignificant or unimportant as a potential hazard to human health and safety, and the environment. This variance is valid only with a current California Hazardous Waste Transporter Registration.
