Document Description
The project consists of stabilizing 75 feet of the bank of Foss Creek with rock rip-rap and willow to control erosion which is threatening a driveway behind a commercial development. Foss Creek, tributary to Dry Creek thence the Russian River, at the project location is a seasonal stream which will be dry, or nearly so by mid-summer. Steelhead trout are known to spawn in Foss Creek in small numbers upstream of the project site, but because the creek goes dry in the project area there will be no steelhead present when the work is done in the summer. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0377 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
