The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a lake and streambed alteration agreement pursuant to section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Mr. Vern Jackson. The applicant proposes commercial gravel extraction operations of up to 15,000 cubic yards annually from the Shamba site and up to 75,000 cubic yards from the Piedmont site on Thomes Creek, Tehama County.
