Document Description
The proposed project would involve the relocation of an existing bikeway crossing of SR 89 located adjacent to the Tahoe Tavern Heights subdivision, Placer County, California. Sight distances along SR 89 in the vicinity of the existing crossings are not adequate and continued use of that crossing represents a public safety risk. The reason for the proposed project is to rectify this public safety risk. It is proposed that the crossing would be moved approximately 1,000 feet to the south. A new Class I trail would be built on the west (uphill) side of SR 89, from the existing crossing south to the location of the new crossing.
