Document Description
The project consists of constructing a multi-purpose trail generally following SR 89 through a portion of the Homewood community on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. The trail segment would be approximately 5,040 feet (0.95 mile) in length and would be constructed between post miles 2.2 and 3.1, connecting two existing segments of Class 1 trail. The Class 1 trail would be 12 feet wide, consisting of 8 feet of pavement (two 4-foot striped lanes) and 2-foot unpaved graded shoulders on either side. Crosswalks would be striped at trail crossings on Fern Street, Oak Street, Trout Street, Silver Street, and Fawn Street. Between Oak Street and Trout Street, the trail would run over a 60-foot bridge constructed to span Madden Creek.
