Document Description
Currently, a Class 2 bike lane is present along either side of State Route (SR) 89 through most of Homewood. At the south end of the community, the existing lanes leave SR 89 and extend along San Souci Parkway Terrace. At Tahoe Ski Area Way, the lanes return to the SR 89 right of way. The proposed project would involve the replacement of those existing lanes with a Class 1 bike path located on the west, or mountain, side of the highway. The proposed bike path would tie into existing Class 1 paths that extend both north and south of Homewood.
