Document Description
The Biosolids Management System consists of two elements: 1) lining as many as four of the five existing DLD units, and 2) construction and operation of a Biosolids Recycling Facility. The purpose of the BRF is to provide a reliable and safe mechanism for allowing beneficial use of biosolids generated at the SRWTP. The two elements comprise a coordinated system for biosolids management in that all biosolids that are not conveyed to the BRF for recycling would be conveyed to the lined DLDs for disposal. The number of DLDs to be lined would depend on the capacity of the BRF; biosolids that could not be accommodated at the BRF would be land-disposed.
