The final project design has not yet been identified and the preferred project will be selected following the completion of a public participation process, scheduled for completion of a public participation process, scheduled for completion during the fall of 2001. The locally preferred project will be selected from among a series of alternatives which include but may not be limited to: no-action, increased levee height, setback levees, by-pass channel(s), excavation of river benches, or a combination of these measures.
