Document Description
The proposed replacement water supply project will rely on a groundwater supply to provide replacement water supply for capacity lost in the Mather-Sunrise service area as a result of groundwater contamination. This project will serve the Mather Field developments already approved in the Mather Field Specific plan and the Sunrise service area prior to the discovery of groundwater contamination. The replacement water supply project would extract for Mather Field and Sunrise corridor at a proposed off-site well field, located in another section of the same groundwater basin, approximately five miles southwest of the project area. The proposed off-site well field, known as the North Vineyard well field, will be located west or east of Excelsior Road, between Florin Road and Elder Creek Road in the Vineyard community.
