Document Description
The proposed project, the Flexible Purchase Environmental Water Account alternative (EWA), changes the operations of existing facilities used to store, convey, and export water from the Sacramento- San Joaquin Delta (Delta); it does not involve the construction of new facilities or modification of existing facilities. Under the proposed project, the Department and U.S. Bureau of Reclamation will contractually purchase water from willing sellers, primarily located in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys and Sierra Nevada foothill areas.
