Document Description
The project proposes the widening of Cole Grade Road beginning at Fruitvale Road to approximately 600 feet north of Horse Creek Trail, a total of 0.27 miles. Cole Grade Road will be widened to a 52 foot paved roadbed on 72 feet of right of way at Fruitvale Road to match the improvements on Cole Grade from Valley Center Road to Fruitvale Road. The paved roadbed width will transition to 64 feet paved roadbed on 84 feet of right-of-way at Horse Creek Trail to accommodate two 6 foot bike lanes, two 14 foot through traffic lanes and a 12 foot, 2 way left turn lane that will become a left turn pocket at Horse Creek Trail. In addition, southbound there will be a 12-foot acceleration lane, 5-foot sidewalk and 5-foot graded shoulder on the west side and 10-foot graded shoulder on the east side. Asphalt concrete dikes shall be installed on the east side and concrete curb and gutter on the west side of the roadway.
