Document Description
The project consists of bank repair and stabilization of 320 linear feet on the westerly bank of Arroyo Burro Creek within Hidden Valley Park. The project involves removing 320 linear feet of wire mesh fencing that has been severely damaged. The fencing will be replaced with new wire mesh. The poles that support the wire mesh will remain with exception for at least two of the poles that can no longer be used. An erosion control mat will be placed west of the wire mesh fencing. Willow cuttings will be placed at 5' at center behind the wire mesh fencing. The erosion control mat will be cut to allow for the willows to be planted. Existing willows will be removed but replaced with cuttings taken in the vicinity of Arroyo Burro Creek. No other existing native vegetation will have to be removed. The project will require 45 cubic yard of fill in the area of the eroded bank as well as installation of a hydroseed mixture to further stabilize the creek bank. The project requires review and approval by the Architectural Review Board and Parks and Recreation Commission. The project also requires a building permit and a public works permit.
