Document Description
The project consists of bank repair and stabilization of 300 linear feet at the northern site and 225 linear feet at the southern site of Mission Creek within Oak Park. The project involves returning the bank to its condition previous to the flood events in the 1998 winter storms. The proposed stabilization consists of compacted fill with a pyramat permanent erosion control geotextile mat placed on top of the compacted fill. The mat will be placed around existing vegetation. Rocks of various sizes, ranging from 2-ton to 1/4 ton, will be placed on top of the pyramat from the toe of the bank and up towards the easterly stream bank. At the toe of the bank, an erosion control blanket will be installed and will be hydroseeded. The northerly bank stabilization will require approximately 430 cubic yards of fill material including the rocks. The southerly bank stabilization will require approximately 605 cubic yards of fill material including the rocks. The project requires review and approval by the Architectural Review Board and Parks and Recreation Commission. The project also requires a building permit and a public works permit.
