Document Description
The proposed renovation will involve the demolition and replacement of the side and rear wings of the existing Casa Ramona structure, while retaining the font facade of the Casa Ramona. The original front facade will be upgraded to comply with current seismic design criteria. This portion of the building will remain a one-story structure, while the proposed side and rear wings would be a combined one- and two-story structure. The new structure would be L-shaped in plan, with an open central courtyard and an outdoor courtyard at the western side. Parking areas would surround the structure to the west, northeast, and north. The new Casa Ramona will have 41,181 square feet of building floor area excluding covered walkways and courtyards, about 10,175 square feet more than the existing facility. The project site is not listed in the State of California Hazardous Waste and Substances Sites list pursuant to Government Code Section 65962.5(E).
