Document Description
The proposed renovation would involve the demolition and replacement of the side and rear wings of the existing Casa Ramona structure, while retaining the front facade of the Casa Ramona. The original front facade would be upgraded to comply with current seismic design criteria. This portion of the building would remain a one-story structure, while the proposed side and rear wings would be a combined one- and two-story structure. The new structure would be L-shaped in plan, with an open central courtyard and an outdoor courtyard at the western side. Parking areas would surround the structure to the west, northeast, and north. Approximately 26,930 square feet of usable floor area would be provided under the renovation project, with a total of 41,181 square feet of building floor area. The new Casa Ramona would be 10,175 square feet larger than the existing facility, excluding the covered walkways and courtyards.
