Document Description
The General Plan for the Kenneth Hahn (formerly Baldwin Hills) State Recreation Area is designed to provide long-term guidance for resource management and development of facilities to support existing or potential recreational opportunities afforded by the park. In addition, the Plan addresses operational issues, acceptable land use intensities, concessions, and interpretive options, as well as the park's local, regional, and statewide significance. The Plan describes the kinds and levels of use expected for specific geographical areas (Management Areas) within the park. It lists overall management plans that may be required for specific uses or resources. Implementation of Plan proposals will occur in phases, as funding becomes available, and will be subject to additional environmental review.
