The scope of this project is to initiate a Port Master Plan Amendment to convert approximately 15.9 acres associated with the Southbay Boat Yard and adjacent properties from the "Marine Related Industrial" land use designation to "Commercial Recreation", "Habitat Replacement Conservation", and "Promenade" land use designations. Additionally, a small portion of "Industrial Specialized Berthing" water use designation would be converted to "Wetlands". This project is a land/water use change only; no specific development has been identified at this time. Once specific development plans are submitted, further environmental review would be required.
