The project is for a Minor Use Permit that proposes to expand and utilize the existing animal rehabilitation facilities to continue the operation of an animal rescue center for injured native, wild species. The project is located on 2.77 acres with an existing single family residence, one agricultural employee residential unit and animal rehabilitation enclosures located among the existing shrub and boulders. The site has a land use regulation of A70, limited agriculture and a neighborhood regulation of "L". Such a regulation allows for a maximum of 25 specialty animals on site by right. The regulation requires a Minor Use Permit for facilities dealing with more than 25 specialty animals. The project proposes a Minor Use Permit for the rehabilitation of more than 25 animals on site.
