A General Plan Amendment to the Land Use element, the Circulation Element and a Zone Code Amendment to revise goals, objectives, policies and standards addressing the design of local public streets. More specifically, proposed language addresses narrowing public streets from a pavement width of 40 feet to a pavement width of 34 feet and creating more pedestrian-friendly streets through the use of traffic calming measures, parkways, trees and street connectivity.
