The project consists of a sand and gravel surface mine over an approximate 1.5 mile portion of the Huer Huero Creek near Creston. A total of 400,000 cubic yards may be removed over the next 10 years, with no more than 60,000 cubic yards annually. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-1384-99 pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Bob Kober/Union Asphalt.
