Document Description
The proposed removal action at Site 9 includes the installation of a 2,500 ft horizontal extraction well along the existing surf road for plume containment, an array of 23 vertical groundwater/vapor extraction wells in the potential source area for source removal, a carbon adsorbtion treatment system, and a discharge pipeline. The extracted groundwater will be routed to a treatment area and both the extracted groundwater and vapor will be treated with granular activated carbon adsorbtion system prior to discharge. The treated vapor will be discharged to the atmosphere and the treated groundwater will be discharged into the existing surface drainage areas.
