Document Description
Two homeowner associations, the Circle Drive and the Las Barrancas Associations, are cooperating with the City Fire Department to create defensible space around and behind residences located along Westmont Road, Circle Drive, and Sycamore Canyon Road. The project would reduce the amount of vegetation on slopes of up to 30 percent, and create defensible space buffer of approximately 200 feet around homes vulnerable to wildland fires. The total project area is approximately 11 acres. An unnamed drainage to the east and Westmont Creek to the west, both of which are tributaries to Sycamore Creek, border the project site area.
