Document Description
The purpose of this project is to replace the existing damaged roofing material on Building D with a new composite shingle roof. The location of Building D is the Hungry Valley District maintenance facility. There will be no ground disturbance, vegetation disturbance, or excavation involved with this project. The 53-foot by 22-foot building was originally constructed in the mid-1950s as a chicken coop, since then it has been refurbished many times at unknown intervals. Sometime prior to 1978 the building had tin siding installed and this same siding was also installed on the roof. Currently this makeshift roof leaks severely and is therefore causing damage to the wooden framing of the building. This project will remove this existing roof material and repair any damage found including the facer board, then 30-pound roofing felt will be installed and covered with a 30-year, composite shingle roof. There will be no structural changes to the building, or soffit.
