Document Description
The project consists of the construction and installation of a 120-foot, four-legged steel radio telecommunications tower on a 20-foot by 20-foot concrete base and a 17-foot by 26-foot radio equipment vault, with an emergency generator room. The proposed replacement tower and vault will be located approximately 250 feet south of the existing site. The project also includes the removal of an underground battery box. This project would not affect the existing forest fire lookout tower nor would it affect the concrete foundation pads of the structures that would be removed. A data search and site survey conducted by a qualified biologist indicated there are no special-status species or sensitive habitats within the existing project site. A record search and site survey conducted by a qualified archeologist did not disclose the presence of cultural resources in the area. All work will be performed within the existing disturbed site.
