Document Description
This project consists of Arundo removal along a portion of Ledgewood Creek in Solano County, APN numbers 0026230210, 0026230150, and 0026210210. The address of the project site is 4756 Suisun Valley Road in Suisun, California. The area of Arundo removal covers about 1,300 linear feet with a total area of about 65,000 square feet. The area begins at the Wooden Valley Winery and extends north to the next bridge. There will be no cut, fill, or rip-rap used on this project. The work will be done by hand crews who have direct walking access to the creek. The California Conservation Corps (CCC) will send a crew of experienced staff to cut and stack the Arundo. No equipment will enter the creek from this project. Following the removal, they will use "Rodeo" as an additional chemical control. Native California Rose will then be planted in the late fall. The cut Arundo will be taken to landfill for disposal. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0346 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1601.
