Document Description
Subsequent to completion of the remediation of the former dump site on Hilltop Drive by the California Intergrated Waste Management Board in 1999, additional residual ash material was located in the drainage channel downstream of the remediation project site. The project is a subsequent action associated with the previous activities and will consist of removing a total of approximately 8 cubic yards of residual ash material from three separate locations along the stream bank by hand digging or using small equipment. The excavated areas along the stream bed will be backfilled with river cobble. In addition, approximately 24 cubic yards of deposited sediment will be removed from an existing detention pond below the project site using an excavator. The detention basin will be hydro-seeded after excavation. All excavated material will be trucked offsite for disposal.
