Document Description
The purpose of this project is to replace an existing 750mm culvert that has failed with a new 1050mm reinforced concrete pipe culvert. The new pipe will be jacked in place and will require tracked construction equipment in the creek. New sections of pipe will be lowered by crane from Highway 1 into the streambed for the equipment to jack into place. Once the new pipe is in place, a concrete headwall will be constructed and a debris deflector designed and installed at the culvert intake. Approximately 34 cubic yards of soil will be excavated for the new headwall and at the outfall for rock placement. Rock will be placed at the outfall of the new culvert to reduce erosion on the hill slope and beach. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1388-99 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1601.
