Document Description
The project is for the removal of an existing manhole located along Whispering Pines Drive, approximately 300 feet north of Lundy Lane. The existing manhole is obstructing the flow of the drainage ditch to the entrance of the culvert under Whispering Pines Drive, which has created a flood hazard. The pipe running across the creek bed is acting as a dam backing up silt and debris and causing flooding problems. The project includes the removal of the manhole and pipe. A wing wall on the north side of the existing box culvert would be constructed, along with the rebuilding of an apron in the bottom of the creek bed. The new concrete would extend 10 feet beyond the edge of the box culvert. The project is necessary to replace public improvements necessary for the public health, safety and welfare.
