The project involves maintenance activities on the Weber Dam access road to accommodate improved public safety, improve access to Weber Dam, and facilitate access for Weber Creek restoration activities. Activities will include smoothing dangerous sharp corners, removing dips and humps, repairing the road surface, and restoring turnouts. Where necessary, culverts and other drainage facilities will be installed to reduce surface water flows over the road surface and that contribute sediment to Weber Creek. A Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan will be prepared, and Best Management Practices will be followed. Surplus materials will be removed from the site in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
Project is repair and minor alteration of an existing road for public safety and access to existing public facilities involving no expansion of use. The activity does not involve the removal of any scenic resource or impacts to any historical resource.
