EA - Environmental Assessment
Present Land Use
California Desert Conservation Area Plan, 1980 as amended: will be amended as an exception for the telecommunication project.
El Paso Global Networks has applied to the BLM (Arizona Bureau Land of Management is the lead federal agency) for an approximately 1000 mile right of way on disturbed land, within existing ROW or along roads. EPGN would install fiber optic conduits, and associated facilities such as cable splice vaults, buried handholes, optimal amplification stations and centerline markets. The EA evaluates impacts for 2 ROW, one from Phoenix to Los Angeles on BLM and private lands.
