Document Description
Public Works proposes to replace an existing culvert and install rock slope protection (RSP) at Happy Valley Road, P.M. 0.40. A three-sided box culvert with an opening approximately 12 feet wide and approximately 10 feet high will be installed in order to meet the hydrology of the creek. The box culvert will be constructed in two stages to allow vehicular traffic. In stage 1, one half of the "box" will be set and placed on the upstream side of the existing temporary bridge. In the second stage, the existing temporary bridge will be removed and a second "half" of the culvert installed for a final overall 24 foot wide stream crossing. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0122 pursuant to section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Bill Williamson/County of Santa Cruz Department of Public Works.
