Document Description
The City Center Park and Library Project will involve a consolidation of five parcels and a vacation of a portion of Church Street to create a 3.5 acre civic center to be located on the block bounded by Main Street, Central Avenue, Olive Street and Pacific Avenue. This civic center will consist of the existing City Hall, City Hall Annex, and the Parsonage (historic) buildings, with the addition of a park with mostly passive recreation areas, a new publicly owned 15,000 square foot library building, a 5,000 square foot community meeting room and related parking facilities. Along with the closure of Church Street, the project will realign Main Street along the east side of the park to provide a more pedestrian friendly travel area and additional landscaping.
