Document Description
The EIR will address the potential onshore environmental impacts of landing, constructing and operating the project. The report will cover impacts to the marine environment from the shoreline westerly out to the 1,800-meter water depth, which generally corresponds to the outer edge of the continental shelf. The geographic scope for the EIR is based on the scope of environmental review for similar previous projects and extends well beyond three nautical miles from shore, or the limit of Hermosa Beach's jurisdiction. The environmental review conducted during the preparation of the EIR is intended to be consistent with permitting requirements for Responsible Agencies.
