Document Description
The recent approvals are to allow the construction of new park amenities and improvements within the Shoreline Parks Master Plan area. The project site is approximately 177 acres, which includes the Bayfront Nature area, Harborview Park, Ryder Park, Seal Point Park, Seal Cove, Bay Marshes, Bayside-Joinville Park and Tidelands Park. The project area is located along the east side the City adjacent to the San Francisco Bay. The project area is zoned S (Shoreline District). A Site Plan and Architectural Review and Site Development Permit were approved for the following: the construction of new public restrooms and shade structures through out the park area; new storage building and entry kiosk at Seal Point Park; new pedestrian and vehicular bridge across San Mateo Creek at Ryder Park; new pedestrian bridge across San Mateo Creek at Rand Street; Seal Slough Bridge railing improvements; new parking lots; grading within the Shoreline Park Master Plan area; and removal of major vegetation.
